Description: As a rare feature to plunge into the murky and violent world of Basque terrorism, the melodrama My Father's House commences with Spaniard Txomin (Carmelo Gomez) returning to Northern Spain after years of exile in Argentina. He's accompanied in this pilgrimage, by his daughter, Sara (Spanish superstar Veronica Echegui) and wife Blanca (Emma Suarez). Not long after their arrival, Txomin's brother asks Txomin, from his deathbed, to look after his son, the pro-Basque political activist Gaizka (Juan Jose Ballesta). Gaizka and Sara fall hard for one another despite families at odds with each other politically, setting the stage for violence later on and raising the ire of both Txomin and Blanca; meanwhile, Gaizka must contend emotionally and psychologically with his father's death. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi
