The story is intriguing, examines the "nature VS nurture" concept, nurture can change a person but their true nature still lies beneath the surface. Megamind lets social rejection convince him that he's best at being bad, but he just enjoys playing the bad guy, when the chips are down his goodness wins out. His true superpower turns out to be persistence; against all odds, he never gives up. After never having positive human interaction, he's overcome when a disguise allows him & reporter Roxanne Ritchie to get to know each other, discovering their strong chemistry. Their relationship is very endearing, Will & Tina bring out both the humor & tenderness between them. Will & the animators managed to imbue Megamind with the "childlike wonder" quality that Robin Williams brought to Mork & Robert Englund gave Willie on "V," plus the smitten-but-clueless thing Danny Kaye & Ken Berry were so good at. Also watch with the commentary track, there's so much great behind-the-scenes info.
