The 39 Steps

An older Hitchcock movie, set in the Scottish moors. A typical theme of a man pitted against the world, trying to prove his innocence. Great usage of camera angles, and audio ingenuity, such as the maid's 'scream,' the purposeful absence of extraneous music, and cross fades. My favorite scene is the Town hall meeting; my least favorite is the cross dissolve of the mysterious Annabel talking during the insert shot of the map--overtly done, and unnecessary.
