The best way to find people you know is to connect Facebook and Twitter. We'll automatically connect you to your friends and the people you follow who are already on Tunerfish - and for those who aren't on Tunerfish yet, we'll connect you as they join.
Tunerfish is more than just connecting with friends - it's a community devoted to sharing what you love to watch. Some of the best recommendations come from people you might not know yet. Check out the profiles of people who've shared shows you love and made interesting comments, or people followed by people you follow. If their activity look interesting, just click that big green follow button to follow them. Don't be shy - the more people you follow, the more cool stuff you're likely to hear about.
Tunerfish awards are fun ways to display what you're passionate about, and you earn them based on your activity and what you've shared. There are awards for different levels of genres - for example, watching 5 Westerns, 10 online videos about kittens, 25 reality TV shows - and we also team up with networks and studios to create exclusive awards for exciting events like movie premieres and new shows. The awards you've earned are displayed proudly on your profile. Influence is our way of letting you know when you've inspired someone else to watch a show, movie, or video. When another user sees what you've shared about a show, movie, or video and decides to watch too, we give you an influence point. As you earn more and more influence points, you'll get closer to advancing though influence levels, an indicator of your clout in the Tunerfish community.
Influence is not just about how many followers you have or how much you share - it's just our way of letting you show off how much others dig your picks.
Liking someone's activity is a quick way of saying, "I dig what you're up to." It could be that they've shared one of your favorite shows or that they've made a really funny or insightful comment, or maybe that they've revealed a guilty pleasure - like it to let them know you're tuned in to what they're laying down.
Tell the world how much you love Glee, The Sound of Music, or the Double Rainbow Song. You might not watch your favorite movie, show, or web video everyday, but becoming a fan lets you share your passion. When you become a fan of something, you'll also be listed as a fan on that show, movie, or video's page and it will show up front and center on your profile so people can get a quick view of what you love to watch.

We support online video from dozens of services, including YouTube, Vimeo, UStream, DailyMotion, and more. To share an online video, just copy the video's permalink into the "What are you watching?" box on tunerfish.com.
There are a few video sites we don't support yet. If you're watching a TV show or movie online, you can just search for that show or movie and share it. And if there's a site missing that you really want to see, let us know at feedback@tunerfish.com or at getsatisfaction.com/tunerfish.
The best way to invite friends is to share your Tunerfish activity to Facebook or Twitter. When your friends click on the link, they'll get to see a snapshot of what you've been up to on Tunerfish and an easy way to join.
Follow more people! Seeing who's a fan of your favorite shows is a great place to start.
First of all, Tunerfish will never post anything to Facebook or Twitter unless you explicitly choose to. Every time you share something, you'll have the option to share it to Facebook or Twitter.
If you haven't added Facebook or Twitter to your account, you can either add it by visiting your settings at tunerfish.com, or by hitting the "Configure" button as you're sharing on iPhone or Android.
You can share as much as you want, but Tunerfish is most useful when you share what you're actually watching. If you're sharing movies, shows, and videos so fast that it might not look like you're watching them, our system might think that you are a robot and try to stop you or slow you down. It's best to obey the system, because when it gets hungry, it eats robots.
Tunerfish is all about expressing your passion for what you watch, and we think it's most fun and useful when you share just what you're watching now.
